Professional position available. Responsibilities: Aids Institute leadership in the design, implementation, and strategic planning policy as it relates to research of interest to the Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI) and the Indiana Communities Institute (ICI). Conduct policy research and meet with internal and external clients regarding research and programmatic elements of the RUPRI and ICI mission. Develop a strong research agenda that guides an important area of public policy that also results in scholarly and popular publications. Research and write policy briefs, business briefs, and reports to be disseminated to RUPRI and ICI’s clients and the general public.
Minimum qualifications: earned master’s degree in sociology, political science, public policy or administration, economics or a related discipline and excellent communication skills. Significant progress towards the completion of a Ph.D. on one of these disciplines. Preferred qualifications: Two or more years work in a research or policy setting, with preference given to demonstrated ability to develop external funding and work in an interdisciplinary and applied search setting.
