The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the leading source of financing for economic, social, and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean, is looking for a Regional Economic Advisor for the Southern Cone Country Department (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay).
The Regional Economic Advisor will perform a variety of functions including: monitoring macroeconomic developments, determining the Bank’s financial exposure, leading the policy dialogue with borrowing countries, and formulating country strategies.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in Economics, at least ten years of relevant work experience, solid publications track record in peer reviewed journals, and fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese is highly desirable).
