The Department of Economics (AE1) of Maastricht University (Netherlands) offers a tenure track Assistant Professorship position in Microeconomics (esp. Economic Theory, Industrial Organization), Public Economics (esp. micro-based), Behavioral-, Experimental-, and Neuroeconomics to commence in 2016.

Job Description:
Successful applicants contribute to research and teaching (in English) in the areas described above. Administrative duties will be limited.

Requirements:
Ph.D. in Economics or a related field (completed or nearly completed)
Strong affinity with academic research and teaching
Strong research orientation

Conditions of Employment:
Tenure track positions are offered for a six-year period with the possibility of tenure thereafter. Tenure decision will be made after five years. Salary is competitive and ranges (depending on qualifications and experience) from EUR 3357 to EUR 5223 per month (12 monthly payments) for a full-time employment. On top of this, there is an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end of year allowance. Non-Dutch applicants may be eligible for favourable tax treatment.
