The Paris School of Economics (PSE) seeks candidates for a permanent junior researcher position funded by INRA (French National Institute for Agricultural Research).
PSE was created in December 2006 by the merging of several existing departments in Paris and gathers researchers from various French public institutions CNRS, EHESS, ENPC, ENS, INRA and Sorbonne. According to REPEC, PSE consistently ranks in the top 10 worldwide (http://ideas.repec.org/top/top.econdept.html).
The successful candidate will have developed excellent skills in microeconomics / microeconometrics, with a specialization in international trade and/or development economics. Once recruited, s/he is expected to develop a research agenda that partly covers questions on the interactions between small farmers from developing countries and international markets. Teaching at the graduate level is possible, but not required. Knowledge of French is NOT required.
A specific application procedure will be opened by INRA by the end of January, 2016 (http://jobs.inra.fr/en/offers/emploi_perm) and final offers will be made in June, 2016.
However, candidates are encouraged to signal their interest for the position to PSE as soon as possible. They can do so by submitting their application package online (via econjobmarket), including the completed PSE application form available on the PSE site.
