The Division of Health Policy and Management, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in health economics.
Applicants must have a doctorate in economics or a closely-related field (e.g., health policy with a specialization in economics); strong methodological skills; strong written and oral English communication skills; ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary research department; and the potential for excellence in research, teaching. The ability to develop an independent and sustainable scholarly research program, teach in the classroom and mentor graduate students, and participate in outreach and service is required.
The Division has several active degree programs with a combined enrollment of over 300 students, including an MPH in Public Health Administration and Policy (PHAP) and an Executive PHAP, a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program and an Executive MHA, MS and PhD Programs, as well as an MPH in Public Health Informatics.
Experience and/or interest in teaching Principles of Healthcare Finance is desired.
Both new PhDs and those with several years of postgraduate experience are encouraged to apply.
