EIMA provides analytical support to the overall mission of OE to develop a reliable, secure, efficient and advanced U.S. energy infrastructure. The scope of the Program’s activities covers grid and environmental modeling, transmission reliability monitoring/modeling and clean energy programs/analysis, smart grid data-integration analytics, energy systems modeling, energy infrastructure and risk analysis, and visualization.

A successful candidate in this position will provide capabilities in micro-economics and subject matter expertise in energy markets, market modeling and analysis, and risk and uncertainty assessment and mitigation. EIMA is seeking a candidate whose experience includes:

• Developing and applying statistical and econometric tools to energy systems and/or markets and to predict impacts to energy systems.
• Applying statistical, analytical, and data management platforms (e.g. R, SAS, Hadoop, and Python) to implement statistical economic analysis.
• Expertise in at least one major energy infrastructure area: oil and refined products; natural gas; or electricity.
