The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Department of Economics is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank beginning August 1, 2016.
Successful candidates must be academically qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate economics courses, including Principles of Micro and Macro, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, undergraduate Econometrics, and courses in their field. A Ph.D. in Economics should be completed prior to the start date. Proven experience or ability to provide instruction in a variety of modalities including online is also required. Candidates should have an interest in community involvement and community activities. Strong research potential must also be demonstrated as well as excellent communication skills.
Screening of applicants will begin on February 1st, 2016, and continue until the position is filled. A complete application should be received by January 31st, 2016. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
