The Associate Vice President for International Programs and Executive Director, International Institute reports jointly to the Provost and Executive Vice President, Vice President for Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine, and Vice President for Research and Economic Development. Responsibilities include providing leadership for international education, research, and outreach programs in all university units and managing operations of the International Institute’s six units: (1) English Language Institute; (2) International Engagement; (3) International Relations; (4) International Research Development; (5) International Services; and, (6) the Office of Study Abroad. Mississippi State University (MSU) is a land-grant institution located in Starkville, MS with an enrollment of 21,000 students.

Minimum Education and Experience. Candidates should have an earned doctorate degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university; academic credentials appropriate for appointment as a tenured professor; three or more years of experience in international programs; and, administrative research university experience.
