BlackRock is seeking a Researcher for the Emerging Markets Allocation Investment Team. He/She will work closely with EM investment teams across equities, fixed income and alternative investments to help deliver superior investment performance for the fund.

The position will be focused on the research and development of the EM Allocation investment strategy. The candidate must be passionately interested in investment research and EM market dynamics. They will cover aspects of equity and fixed income markets, with emphasis in systematic quantitative strategies. The person will have responsibility for developing and testing new ideas that could be additive to the portfolio, and engaging with other investment teams that could be a source of non-correlated active risk premia.

Qualifications
• Macroeconomic modeling, asset allocation or multi asset experience
• Experience working with datasets; quantitative model development; statistical hypothesis testing
• Ability to identify new investment ideas; a strong understanding of financial markets, including drivers of return, risk control and portfolio construction techniques
• Creativity and strong programming skills
• Focused on teamwork and relationship building
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts into a form understood by a broader audience and to work in a fast paced environment
