As part of Northwestern University’s Indigenous Studies Research Initiative, the Institute for Policy Research invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Native American and Indigenous Studies. We seek a scholar who studies social disparities as they pertain to indigenous people, particularly, but not limited to, the native peoples of North America. This person will be jointly appointed between the Institute for Policy Research and an appropriate social science-related unit, and will work closely with Northwestern undergraduates and graduate students. Scholars with backgrounds in anthropology, communications, economics, education, law, political science, psychology, public health, sociology, statistics, and other related fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have completed all degree requirements for a PhD before September 1, 2016. We welcome applications from both newly-minted PhDs and senior assistant professor candidates.
