The Research Department seeks an established research economist as policy advisor. Responsibilities include engaging in academic research for publication in professional journals, briefing the Bank’s president on policy issues and assisting with speeches, helping lead our research and policy activities as a senior member of the department, and contributing to public education.

Excellent research skills are vital, as are a demonstrated interest in policy issues and good writing and speaking skills. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics, several years of distinguished research and policy experience, and an established research agenda as demonstrated by several publications in top-tier professional journals. The department offers an outstanding research environment and competitive salary and benefits.
