Full Text of JOE Listing:
Assistant Professor, Natural Resource Economics and Econometrics. A nine-month tenure eligible position with a Teaching 45%, Research 50%, Service 5% appointment. There are opportunities, primarily through successful grant writing, to augment salary beyond the nine-month base salary.
The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized research program in natural resources. Areas of emphasis should include: economic analyses of water, energy or climate change. Excellent econometric skills are required. The candidate will be expected to obtain external funding to support the research program. The successful candidate will provide excellent teaching in natural resource economics and econometrics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
A Ph.D. in natural resource economics, economics, agricultural economics or closely related field must be completed before beginning employment. Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
