Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program at NC State University seeks applicants in development economics as part of the Global WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) interdisciplinary initiative. This interdisciplinary initiative will expand existing strengths at NC State addressing global WaSH-related challenges to improve the human condition. Applicants for this position are sought with expertise in development economics, with emphasis in the following possible areas: technological innovation and diffusion, social entrepreneurship, program evaluation, and sustainable business models for commercializing new technologies in developing countries. Priority will be given to applicants with a demonstrated research interest in WaSH issues, and to those with a proven track-record of working across disciplines and academic departments. The successful candidate will be expected to closely collaborate with current NCSU faculty and three other tenure-track research faculty being recruited for the WaSH initiative including engineers, environmental scientists and sociologists.
