Brief introduction of Shenzhen Tourism College, Jinan University
As the Shenzhen campus of Jinan University which is one of "211 project" universities in China, Shenzhen Tourism College is located in Overseas Chinese Town (OCT), a famous tourist and cultural resort of Shenzhen. The college is the first one in Mainland China to have obtained the World Tourism Organization TedQual Certification.
The college offers seven undergraduate programs in four departments; they are Tourism Management (Honored “Key major” by Guangdong province), Golf Management, Landscape architecture, Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business English and E-business. The college has a team of famous professors and experts, runs many high-end education platforms, such as provincial level and national level education labs, postdoctoral innovation practice base, national cultivation base for high-end service industry talents, and so on.
Featured with triple-semester system, and specially supported by a cooperative contract among Jinan University, Shenzhen municipal government and OCT group, the college establishes an enterprise-university-government integration mode. The college has initiated international exchange and cooperation programs with institutions from abroad, such as University of California Riverside, Tourism College of Temple University, U.S., University of Birmingham in UK etc., and students may apply for exchanging courses in the universities in U.S., Britain, France, Canada etc., which have cooperation relationships with Jinan University.
