Applications are invited for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 17, 2016, in the Department of Economics at the University of Iowa.
We have up to two positions and seek applied microeconomists with demonstrated empirical skills. While the search is open to all applied areas of microeconomics, we have a particular interest in labor, industrial organization and related fields. A successful candidate will be expected to develop a consistent record of positive classroom teaching in the undergraduate, MBA and/or doctoral programs and to maintain a record of excellence in published scholarly research.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field (or be near completion) and must demonstrate potential for an outstanding record of scholarly achievement. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community. Evidence of successful teaching experience is required.
