Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Office of Financial Research promotes financial stability by monitoring financial institutions and markets, conducting research on financial , risk management, addressing data gaps, improving data standards and promoting best practices in financial risk management.

The Research and Analysis Center within OFR seeks researchers from a broad range of disciplines, including macroeconomics, risk management, statistics, finance, financial markets and institutions, market structure, financial networks, financial engineering, accounting and data management and analysis. Qualified candidates would have a degree in economics, finance, engineering, operations research, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
Positions are available at three levels:

Research Principal
Would include individuals with 8 or more years of post-graduate experience and an established record producing high quality academic research in a field related to the work of the Office. Experience establishing or managing research projects or teams is preferred. A mix of public- and private-sector experience is a plus.

Senior Researcher
Would include individuals with 5 or more years of relevant academic, government, or industry experience who demonstrate the ability to conduct and direct financial, economic or quantitative analysis and to identify research priorities.

Researcher
Would include highly motivated individuals with successful academic records or relevant work experience who demonstrate the ability to conduct financial, economic or quantitative analysis. Experience working with statistical software and large data sets is a plus. A Ph.D. degree is preferred, but Masters degree holders with exceptional experience will also be considered.

The Office of Financial Resaerch will be present at the Annual INFORMS conference in November, 2015 in Philadelphia and the ASSA meetings in January, 2016 in San Francisco.
