The Baker Institute seeks to deepen its impact on global health by hiring an economist who studies health in developing countries. The Institute has access to foreign health officials and health care experts who are eager to collaborate in addressing global health problems. We seek an individual who can take advantage of existing strengths in international policy at the Baker Institute and supplement them. The successful candidate will have a PhD in economics or health policy, with a demonstrated ability to understand and write knowledgeably about economic issues related to public policy at the caliber necessary for publication in a top academic journal. The candidate must have demonstrated experience conducting research in developing country settings. In addition to collaborating with other economists, the candidate must be comfortable working with clinician researchers, high-ranking decision makers, potential funders, and Baker Institute senior management. Compensation will be competitive with major academic institutions.
