Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured faculty position in the Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development (CED) Program.

The MS in CED is a course of study in economics applied to commerce and economic development and allows students to understand and apply theories and analytical tools to important economic and public policy challenges. By focusing on core economic theory and analytical techniques, CED students have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills that help them stand out as analysts in private and public sector organizations and differentiate their abilities from graduates in business and public administration graduate programs. The 11 course curriculum comprises four courses in economics, four courses in applied commerce and economic development (including the Master’s Capstone Project) and three electives.

The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding teaching competence, both on-ground and online and hold a PhD in economics or related fields. Substantial real-world experience as a practitioner in economic analysis in the private or public sectors is preferred. Additionally, significant contacts among analysts in industry, government or other organizations in commerce and economic development. Ability to teach on ground in Boston
