The Department of Marketing, Business Economics and Law at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in business economics, with a research and teaching focus on either International Business or Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment.

For appointments at the assistant professor level, candidates must have, or be close to completing, a PhD in an appropriate field, with demonstrated research and teaching potential; appointment in the latter case will be contingent upon the completion of the PhD by an agreed-upon date. Appointments at a more senior level—associate or full professor—may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. For an associate/full professor appointment, we require a PhD, and a high quality publication record in economics and business journals, accompanied by excellence in teaching. Proficiency in English is required.

The successful candidate will teach business economics at both the undergraduate and MBA levels, participate in the MBA and BCom programs, conduct research, publish in top tier economics and business journals, and provide service to the School’s academic activities.
