The Niagara University College of Business Administration invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position in economics at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning Fall 2016. Due to growth in programs and enrollment, the College is opening new faculty lines to support undergraduate degrees in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and management, as well as MBA, MHA, and MS Finance graduate degrees.

About the college: Home to 700 undergraduate and 250 graduate business students, the College of Business Administration has long-standing AACSB accreditation. Its MBA program was recently named in the Top Tier in North America and in the global best 150 by CEO magazine. This combination of outstanding quality and small size fosters close student-faculty relationships permeating all aspects of instruction, research, and service.

About the institution: Niagara University was founded in 1856 by the Catholic Vincentian Fathers, whose mission emphasizes practical training and excellence in service of society. NU’s traditional stone buildings and leafy green campus sits on Monteagle Ridge, overlooking the Niagara River Gorge just three miles north of the majestic Niagara Falls. Job Requirements: The successful candidates will have a PhD in economics. All applicants must be academically qualified under AACSB standards. ABD’s will be considered but PhD must be conferred by 1/15/2017 for continuing employment. Candidates should demonstrate success or potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Experience or interest in the developing initiatives of the College is valuable: online, international, and healthcare. Te ideal candidate will have a background or specialty in macroeconomics with economic development, monetary, or financial economics as supporting areas.

Salary and benefits are competitive (3/3 teaching load and generous travel support).
