The Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a Director to lead the School of Public Policy & Governance. The University of Toronto is Canada’s largest and highest-ranked research-intensive university, with over 18,000 faculty and staff and some 83,000 students. The School is a leading interdisciplinary academic centre that integrates public policy research with teaching, offers a rigorous MPP degree, and includes over 100 affiliated scholars from a variety of disciplines.

The successful candidate will foster innovation in the School’s core academic and research programs, work with distinguished faculty to enhance its research, teaching, and international impact, and will represent the School in dealing with partner and peer institutions. He/she will have a significant scholarly record, an active, externally-funded and internationally-recognized research program and must demonstrate the capacity for teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He/she will be an institution-builder with a track record of success in administration, external relations, advancement, teambuilding, and engagement with international and national partners.
