The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the new or senior Assistant Professor level to begin August 2016, with principal research and teaching interests in labor economics. Candidates who can also teach applied econometrics are encouraged to apply. Housed within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Economics has a large, active faculty specializing in applied microeconomics research. We seek candidates trained in labor economics with a promising research program complementary to our existing core of applied micro researchers.

The Andrew Young School is ranked among the top 20 policy schools in Policy Analysis. The school houses four academic departments (including Economics) and outstanding research centers in fiscal policy and health policy, among others. All Georgia State faculty members have access to the nearby Atlanta Census Research Data Center.

Successful candidates will have an earned doctorate or will have completed all of the requirements for one in the field of Economics. Applicants should provide a CV, three letters of reference, an example of professional work, and evidence on teaching (if available).
