The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) invites applications for positions in International Education, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Education (untenured), or Professor of Education.

We seek candidates who have strong training in education or a social science discipline and who conduct rigorous research with the goal of improving education and educational equity in developing countries. Topical areas of interest include: evaluation and monitoring of educational initiatives in developing countries; comparative study of education systems, programs, and policy; education in emergency or conflict situations; and social entrepreneurship in international development. We invite researchers who use quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods methodologies. We encourage applications from women and minorities.

At HGSE, our mission is to conduct high-quality research on issues related to education, and to teach, advise, and mentor a diverse community of graduate students. We therefore seek candidates with excellent pedagogical skills, including the ability to communicate to heterogeneous audiences. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to teach and advise master’s students in the International Education Policy program and doctoral students with international research interests.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications on November 1, 2015 and continue until the position is filled.
