Economics: Lecturer position (Macro and/or Micro) to teach undergraduate economics; to advise students; and to provide service to students and the institution. The economics department at Miami University is housed in the Farmer School of Business, but has majors in both the Farmer School of Business and the College of Arts and Science.

Require: PhD in Economics (completed by December 31, 2016 for appointment to a second year).

A strong candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching high quality courses in Principles of Economics (Macro and/or Micro) and upper-level courses; commitment to excellence in teaching large sections of principles; commitment to pedagogic innovation; and demonstrated enthusiasm for undertaking student-centered service responsibilities such as academic and extracurricular advising; student advising experience.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, duties may also include providing support for the following: Visiting faculty teaching Principles of Economics, assessment of Principles of Economics and other courses, e-learning, career opportunities for students.
