The Department of Business Administration and Economics at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2016. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester (both in introductory macroeconomics and microeconomics), the ability to conduct independent research, advising, and serving on College committees.

Saint Mary’s College, the nation’s premier Catholic women’s college, was founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1844 and is located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics at the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to pursue independent research and have a demonstrable record of high quality teaching. Excellence in teaching, research, and advising is expected. All candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching and an active research program.

Desired Qualifications: Most importantly, we seek a candidate with a documented dedication to excellence in teaching, preferably two or more years. Further, we seek a candidate with a demonstrated quality and strong potential in research that will contribute to and enhance the College’s reputation. The ideal candidate will have experience outside of academia in a business environment to harmonize with the interdisciplinary nature of our department.
