The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is a renowned research university with substantial influence in economics and business education in China. Located in the dynamic and fast-growing city of Shanghai, the University pursues excellence in research and professional education at a global standard. The School of International Business Administration was recently accredited as “School of Excellence in Globalization” by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of the Chinese government. As part of the strategic outreach plan, the University and the School invite applications and nominations for:

Title: Senior Associate Dean, School of International Business Administration

Responsibilities: The Senior Associate Dean will provide leadership and strategic direction in research and professional education for the School, and promote collaboration with leading research institutes in the world and international organizations.

Benefits: The appointee will be offered an academic rank and remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience. The initial period of appointment will be one year at minimum and can be extended to multiple years based on mutual agreement. The compensation package includes an annual salary of USD 200,000 or above (subject to income tax), and fringe benefits (university housing, medical insurance, and relocation assistance).

Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a doctorate degree with strong academic and professional credentials, senior-level experience in academia, outstanding management skills, commitment to teamwork, and strong communication and networking skills to build and nurture internal and external contacts to the benefit of the School. Experiences in fundraising and managing a business school are preferred but not required.
