The W.E. Upjohn Institute invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position. The Institute is an endowed, nonprofit research organization that conducts independent, nonpartisan research on employment-related issues. The purpose of the position is to bring talented researchers to the Institute to interact with its research staff and to conduct research of mutual interest. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in policy-oriented research and have completed their PhD between April 2015 and August 2016. The position is ideal for someone who has received an offer for a regular appointment that is deferred until after the postdoc appointment year ends. The Institute is interested in research on issues related to employment, compensation, education, workforce development programs, and social insurance systems. The Institute provides a competitive salary and benefits and access to research assistants, library services, computer support, and data. Postdoctoral scholars have the opportunity to develop their own research, contribute to the Institute’s working paper and seminar series, and co-author with the Institute’s economists.
