The Department of Economics at Oberlin College invites applications for the Danforth/Lewis Chair, a full-time, continuing faculty position starting fall 2016. We seek a senior macroeconomist who is eager to supervise undergraduate research and teach intermediate and advanced theory courses in macroeconomics as well as field courses such as monetary policy, international finance, time series econometrics or economic growth. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in sustained scholarly research in macroeconomics or closely-related fields and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising and service on committees. The incumbent is expected to have earned a Ph.D. in Economics and to have demonstrated professional competence in macroeconomic research and successful teaching consistent with the rank of Professor. Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
