The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of microeconomic theory. Candidates should be able to teach in the Ph.D. core microeconomic sequence. Successful candidates would also be expected to teach other undergraduate and/or graduate courses in microeconomics and their field(s) of specialization. As a strong applied microeconomics department, we seek candidates with research interests in behavioral economics and/or at least one of the following applied micro fields: international trade, labor economics, public economics, development economics and urban and regional economics. Candidates are expected to perform research that is publishable in leading economics journals and to advise Ph.D. students in their research. We seek candidates who complement the broader mission of the Maxwell School. Special attention will be given to fostering additional demographic diversity within the department. The search begins immediately and will remain open until the position is filled.
