The Department of Economics at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position starting fall 2016. For this position, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated success in scholarly research or teaching in economic development. Desirable complementary fields are behavioral economics, experimental economics or econometrics. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in sustained scholarly research in economic development or closely-related fields and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising and service on committees. The incumbent is expected to have earned a Ph.D. in Economics or have expectations of completing the degree by August 2016. Successful teaching at the college level is desirable. Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
