As a Senior Socioeconomic Modeler you will gather, manage, and analyze regional and socioeconomic data to develop and manage demographic synthesizer and household location choice models in support of our Regional Growth Forecast Model.

This opportunity promises an environment where you will be challenged to:
•Develop and maintain socioeconomic and real estate databases
•Develop and manage SAS code for processing data, integrating multiple data sources, and ensuring quality of the data
•Develop and Manage Household and Population Synthesis Model
•Monitor and analyze regional demographic and housing trends
•Serve as a liaison with local business, real estate development and planning communities on demographic issues

Requirements
The successful candidate will have at a minimum:
•Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Geography, Sociology, Planning or a related field.
•Five (5) years experience in demographic and economic data modeling.
•Knowledge of demographic transition theory, economic theory, statistical theory and relational database principles.
•Experience with various socioeconomic data sources.
•Knowledge of reading and writing SAS code for data process management.
•Experience with statistical models in SAS.

Preferred Qualifications Include:
•Eight (8) years experience in economic data modeling.
•Experience with SAS programming.
•Experience with interpreting Census data.
•Experience with ArcGIS.
