Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Public Policy Institute of California is recruiting a research fellow with a background and strong interest in Public Finance and substantive knowledge and interest in budgeting, taxation, and other fiscal issues in California. Strong candidates will bring a driving interest in informing California’s policymaking processes, ideally in the Education, HHS, or Corrections policy area.

Skills in quantitative research, writing, external policy engagement, and communications, and a Ph.D. in demography, economics, education policy, health policy, political science, public policy, sociology, or a related discipline are required. Level of experience can range from recent Ph.D. graduate to senior-level researcher. A background in California policy research is desirable, as is federal or other-state experience that translates well to the California context.
