Founded in the year 2000, the University currently has three faculties and counts around 2800 students. In Autumn 2016 the new Faculty of Economics and Management will open its doors for the first time.

Applications are invited for a Professorship in Empirical Methods (open rank) at the Faculty of Economics and Management to take up appointment on 1 August 2016.

Candidates must hold a PhD and have an excellent international publication record, as documented by high-level publications in refereed journals.

We are particularly interested in an (applied) micro-econometrician, regardless of the exact field of specialization. We welcome applications at the rank of assistant (tenure-track) or full professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The teaching responsibilities will include the instruction of statistics, econometrics, and – possibly – data analytics at the undergraduate and masters level. The successful candidate is expected to be capable of teaching in German within two years of appointment.The professorship will be at the University of Lucerne’s new Faculty of Economics and Management. The position offers a fascinating opportunity to shape and influence a young and dynamic institution.
