As an Economist at the Applied Research and Modelling Division in the Financial Stability Department, you conduct research and current analyses on topics relevant for the Riksbank. You contribute to the policy work of the financial stability department and advise policy makers on your areas of expertise.

We are Seeking Applicants with excellent empirical skills and strong interests in at least one of the following areas: financial stability and macroprudential policy, the relation between the financial sector and real economic activity, banking and finance, identifying and measuring systemic risk, risk management, bank capital policy, stress testing, liquidity policy, consumer finance, housing, and financial econometrics. You have or are close to obtaining a PhD in economics or finance, and have a strong interest in economic policy. Professional experience in a central bank or academia is desirable, but not a prerequisite and new PhDs will be considered.

Successful Applicants are analytical and independent thinkers, goal oriented, and have good communication skills. It is important that you are a team player, and that you are able to present complex issues to policymakers effectively. The working languages are English and Swedish. Proficiency in Swedish is not required, but candidates are encouraged and supported to learn Swedish. Because you will represent the Riksbank at international meetings, excellent writing and oral skills in English are a prerequisite.
