The Department of Economics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, invites applications for a tenure track position in applied economics, with particular emphasis on the economics of crime and law enforcement. The position involves significant scholarly research as well as teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in economics along with teaching of undergraduate majors in the Program in Criminal Justice. A PhD in either Economics or Public Policy is required. The search will focus on applicants with strengths in applied economics as applied to topics such as understanding criminal behavior, corruption, the impact of crime on economic development, the public finance of criminal justice policy, and the like.
