Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the University of Louisville seeks applications for a tenure-track position starting August 1, 2016 with a particular emphasis on applied microeconomics. The applicant must have a Ph.D. by August 1, 2016. Candidates must demonstrate a strong research potential and a clear commitment to excellence in teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate economics courses and possibly courses in the Ph.D. in entrepreneurship program and MBA program. The successful candidate will be affiliated with the John H. Schnatter Center for Free Enterprise with the mission of examining the role of entrepreneurship and free enterprise in advancing the well-being of society. The applicant’s ability to communicate the ideas relating to the mission of the center will be a consideration. Teaching load and salary are competitive. Summer research support may be negotiated. The Department will have members of its recruiting committee at the Southern Economics Association Meetings in New Orleans in November 2015 and the San Francisco ASSA meetings in January 2016.
