Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Banque de France is planning to recruit several experienced or new Ph.D.s in economics, econometrics and finance for its headquarters in Paris. This year, areas of particular interest are macroeconomics (monetary macroeconomics, structural reforms and their impact on growth, forecasting and modelling) and applied microeconomics (corporate finance, industrial organization, investment and productivity).

The Banque de France provides an excellent work and research environment. The main tasks of the potential candidates will be to conduct high-quality policy-oriented research, publishable in international refereed journals, to produce reports and briefings for the Banque's senior management, and to contribute to the Banque's publications.

Candidates will be expected to travel and participate in meetings organized by international institutions as well as interact with the academic community in their field of expertise. Three-year fixed-term, full-time contracts could be offered. Knowledge of French as a working language would be an asset. Salary and benefits vary with experience and are competitive on a European scale.

Candidates should indicate whether they will be available for interviews at the AEA job market in San-Francisco, 3-5 January 2016. We also plan to conduct interviews in Paris and on the phone for Europe-based applicants who will not attend the ASSA Meetings.
