The Department of Economics at Denison University invites applications for two tenure track positions at the assistant professor level beginning in Fall 2016. We are a diverse faulty who teach economics from a variety of intellectual perspectives in a liberal arts environment. We are looking for colleagues who appreciate the interdisciplinary nature of a small residential, undergraduate, liberal arts institution and who will complement both our faculty and course offerings. The department is especially interested in applicants willing to teach Introductory and Intermediate Microeconomic Theory as well as their applied microeconomic specialty. Denison values faculty who are successful and effective teachers, who develop active and productive research programs, and who are involved in the life of the college. The Economics Department has twelve faculty members who teach a 3/2 teaching load. We will begin reviewing applications on November 1, 2015, and will continue to accept applications until the position is filled. We will interview prospective candidates at the ASSA meetings in San Francisco, January 3-5, 2016. We expect candidates to have their PhD in hand by August 2016.
