The Department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor who focuses on empirical studies in the following fields: Methodology, and Heterodox Approaches (B in JEL code), Mathematical and Quantitative Methods (C), Microeconomics (D), Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics (E), International Economics (F), Financial Economics (G), Public Economics (H), Health, Education, and Welfare (I), Labor and Demographic Economics (J), Law and Economics (K), Industrial Organization (L), Business Administration and Business Economics • Marketing • Accounting • Personnel Economics (M), Economic Development, Innovation, Technological Change, and Growth (O), and Urban, Rural, Regional, Real Estate, and Transportation Economics (R).

Keio University is a private, coeducational university founded in 1858. The Faculty of Business & Commerce was created to study and research commerce. Students explore the world of modern industry from four core areas of study: Management, Accounting, Commerce, and Economy & Industry. The Graduate School of Business & Commerce offers students the opportunity to conduct research into modern industry through four core areas of study: Management, Accounting, Commerce, and Economy & Industry. In the Graduate School, the curriculum is divided into two-year Master's and three-year Doctoral courses. Majors available in both Master's and Doctoral courses are "Commerce" and "Management & Accounting," subdivided into the 10 fields in the Faculty of Business & Commerce. The Economics field invites new applications for a tenure track assistant professor.

The Faculty is required to teach at least two classes per week each semester (90 minutes each lecture and 15 lectures for each class. Two semesters in each year.).

Salary Range: depending on the individual and according to the university wage scheme

Requirements
1. Ph.D. of economics and relevant fields, one expected to be completed by August 2016, or its equivalent, in countries other than Japan.
2. Bachelor degree in countries other than Japan.
3. English communication/teaching skill.

The position will start at April 1, 2016 or September 1, 2016 depending on the individual and availability.
