Sonoma State University is of 23 campuses of the California State University. The University has an enrollment of approximately 9,000 students with 500 faculty. The University is organized into six schools: Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education, Extended and International Education, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences. Sonoma State University occupies 274 acres in the wine country of Sonoma County in Northern California. The campus is an hour’s drive north of San Francisco and 40 minutes from the Pacific Ocean.

The Department of Economics offers programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. The program is designed both for those students seeking employment upon graduation, and those wishing to pursue graduate studies in economics, business, and other related disciplines. Duties: The successful candidate will teach primarily upper division courses in macroeconomic fields. Examples include, but are not limited to, Money and Banking, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, Econometrics, and International Finance. Duties include teaching, advising, and departmental administrative responsibilities. One year non-renewable.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in economics by the start date.
