The Department invites applications for professoriate posts in the following fields: (i) Chinese economy/development (O1); (ii) empirical industrial organization (L/D4); (iii) labor economics (J); (iv) macroeconomics/international finance (E/F3); and (v) health economics (I1). Outstanding candidates in other fields may also apply. Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree (by the time reporting for duty). For Professorship / Associate Professorship, applicants should have established record of publications in major economics journals.

Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2016, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for appointments of two years or longer, and housing benefits for eligible appointees. Annual salary range for Professorship: from HK$1,206,720 to HK$1,585,800 or above; Associate Professorship: from HK$955,440 to HK$1,218,480; Assistant Professorship: from HK$740,520 to HK$955,440 [approximate exchange rate in September 2015 for reference: US$1 = HK$7.8].
