The Department of Economics at Suffolk University invites applications for an assistant professor, tenure-track appointment for July 1, 2016 (pending final budgetary approval). Suffolk University is a private, comprehensive, urban university located in downtown Boston. We embrace the teacher-scholar model: Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in teaching and demonstrated achievement in scholarship. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in statistics, econometrics, and applied microeconomics. The teaching load is five courses per year. Preference will be given to candidates with an applied research focus, using large-data analysis, in areas such as health and environmental economics. Completion of the Ph.D. is required by July, 2016.
