The Data Analyst is responsible for the analysis and management of holdings, risk, economic, and financial data for use in active portfolio management by the Multi-Asset Class Solutions team at Nuveen Investments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:
-Work with business partners on design and implementation of customized allocation, risk management, and performance attribution systems

-Integrate financial and economic data into proprietary databases for use in multi-asset and economic modeling

-Systematically collect and analyze information and data on proprietary and third party active investment strategies

-Analyze risk and return characteristics of liquid and illiquid asset class, country, sector, and currency investments

-Assist senior investors and researchers in modeling of risk exposures and the generation of expected returns

-Evaluate historical performance characteristics of tactical allocation and risk signals

Required Education/Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or other relevant area of study

-1-3 years' experience in the financial services industry

Knowledge/Skills:
-Demonstrated programming experience with VBA, Access, R, Matlab, or equivalent

-Familiarity with investment systems (Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI Barra, Yieldbook, FX Connect) preferred

-Broad knowledge of financial instruments and the investment environment
