The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin invites applicants to fill the newly endowed Victor Ramon Davila, Sr. Chair in International Trade Policy, beginning August 2016. The individual should have a demonstrated research interest in topics related to international trade, economics, and political economy. We are interested in scholars from all social science fields, including economics, political science, business, history, sociology, anthropology, and geography, among others. We are also interested in scholars with a research and/or teaching commitment to U.S.-Latin American relations.
Candidates should be prepared to make a career commitment to research and graduate teaching in an interdisciplinary, policy-oriented setting. A joint appointment with another UT-Austin academic department is possible.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have an outstanding research record suitable for appointment with tenure at the level of Associate or Full Professor, demonstrated excellence in graduate and/or undergraduate teaching, and active involvement in public policy debates.
