Description:
The Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia invites applications for a senior professorial position, primarily at the Associate Professor level but we may also consider truly exceptional candidates at the level of Professor. Starting date: July 1, 2016. The successful candidate will be appointed to the rank appropriate to their level of experience. Positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications: For appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, the candidate must have a Ph.D., a distinguished international reputation, an outstanding record of publications in top-ranked journals, a proven record of excellence in teaching, and a track record of effective Ph.D. supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, graduate supervision, and service. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applications must include a c.v., evidence of teaching effectiveness, and samples of research papers. We require the names and contact information of at least 4 potential referees who can be contacted for an evaluation of the applicant’s work, should the applicant be shortlisted.
