Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics is looking to recruit at least two new staff members at the level of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in the above areas. Preference will be given to candidates who have an established track record in terms of publications, teaching, supervision and service. S/he is expected to teach under-graduate and post-graduate courses and also supervise research students including PhDs. S/he must demonstrate willingness to engage with colleagues (both within and outside the department and school), policy makers and industry and compete for external grants.

The Department has a strong research culture and is a leading research institution in Australasia. It has comprehensive undergraduate and post-graduate teaching programmes. The university values excellence in teaching and successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to teach well at all levels. Continuation (tenure) depends on satisfactory performance across research, teaching, post-graduate supervision and service.
