The Economics department at the College of Wooster invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Macroeconomics, Economic Development and International Economics beginning Fall 2016. We seek candidates that will inspire excellence in undergraduate economics research in a liberal arts context. Recent PhD's and ABD's with compelling evidence of teaching excellence are preferred. Wooster is the US's premier college for mentored undergraduate research known for teaching excellence. The economics department seeks to learn about complex questions from a diversity of economic perspectives. The successful candidate will be naturally inclined to offer innovative contributions to the department's core curriculum, the interdisciplinary program in Global and International Studies, and the College's First Year Seminar Program.

The successful candidate will teach core courses in the department regularly especially, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economic Development and International Economics. We will also consider teaching and research interests in Economic History, Political Economy and Comparative Economic Systems.
