Job Description:
The successful candidate for this tenure-track position will provide high-quality teaching of DAEE undergraduate agricultural business and economics courses and possibly master's level courses. His/her research will result in publications that include leading disciplinary peer-reviewed journals. The area of research emphasis for this position is the applied microeconomics of agriculture (including production economics, managerial economics, land and water economics, agricultural finance, and/or closely related areas), including research relevant to agricultural producers and firms in Montana.
Required Qualifications:

1.Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or Economics prior to the starting date.
2.Strong commitment to teaching, research, and outreach/service.
3.Demonstrated record of research publication and extramural funding (for Associate Professor candidates).

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated success in research and teaching.
2. Knowledge of agricultural experiment station research and outreach programs.
3. Demonstrated interest in research applicable to commercial agriculture.
4. Strength in economic theory and quantitative analysis.

The Successful Candidate Will: Have excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to successfully contribute to DAEE teaching, research, and outreach.
