The Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow in economics. Policy Integrity is a non-partisan think tank dedicated to improving the quality of government decision-making through advocacy and scholarship in the fields of administrative law, economics, and public policy. We work to identify and support economically sound policies in energy, the environment, and public health and safety.

Economic fellows are expected to collaborate with legal and economic researchers to prepare policy reports, briefs, and journal articles on a variety of current policy issues including the option value of natural resources, the social cost of carbon, utility regulation, and energy policy. Candidates with a focus on policy oriented research in environmental economics, resource economics, industrial organization and regulation, public economics, and applied microeconomics are encouraged to apply. Excellent written communication skills required. Applicants who are familiar with numerical optimization models and benefit-cost analysis will receive priority consideration.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics by July 2016. The appointment is for August 2016 to July 2017, with the option to renew for a second year. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in independent research.
