The Department of Economics at the University of Leicester invites applications for at least two positions at the level of Lecturer (equivalent to tenure track Assistant Professor). Applications are open to any field; the Department has a preference to fill one of these positions in macroeconomics/finance or econometrics. Leicester is a research oriented department, with expertise in all areas of economics and finance.
Applications are welcome from candidates in the final stages of the Ph.D. as well as those currently holding positions. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the scientific life of the Department by regularly attending seminars, publishing in top general interest and field journals, and supervising Ph.D. students. Junior faculty are granted light teaching and administrative loads in order to facilitate career progression.
The Department will attend the ASSA Meeting in San Francisco and the RES Meeting in London.
